Despite criminal prosecution, former US President Donald Trump continued his campaign and insisted he would never be arrested.

"We must stand up against the radical left-wing Democrats, their lawless prosecutors... I GET SUBPOENAS whenever I get the upper hand," Mr Trump said. At a campaign event in Georgia on June 10, not long after federal prosecutors announced a 37-count indictment against him.

The former White House owner declared: "I risked everything and will never give up. I will never be arrested. I will never stop fighting for you."

He also harshly criticized prosecutors, accusing the administration of President Joe Biden of "weaponizing" the Justice Department. He called the recent indictment "ridiculous and baseless" and "one of the most horrific abuses of power in American history."

U.S. Justice Department prosecutors on June 9 released a 49-page indictment, indicting former President Donald Trump on 37 counts related to allegations of misconduct in handling classified documents and obstruction of public physical.

Accordingly, Mr. Trump is accused of illegally withholding classified government documents after he left office, knowingly giving classified documents to unauthorized persons, and obstructing justice when federal officials requested the paper's return.

These documents include information on defense and weapons capabilities, US nuclear capabilities, the risk of military attack by the US and its allies, and plans for retaliation.

Mr Trump is scheduled to appear in federal court in Miami on June 13 to hear the indictment.

This is the second time he has been criminally charged. Two months ago, he was also charged with 34 counts related to suspicions of forging business records.
